It’s with a sad heart that we have to report that Ron Miller, husband of Diane Disney Miller and the former CEO of the Disney Company, died on Saturday in Napa, CA at the age of 85.
Ron and his wife Diane Disney Miller (who was the daughter of Walt Disney and died in 2013) were big benefactors of the school, and instrumental in getting our state of the art computer lab installed (which was dedicated to Diane Disney Miller) in 2015.
Here is a video from Channel 7 on the dedication of the lab, and Ron talking about what a great place Disney is to learn.
As the CEO of the Disney company from 1978-1984 (and a nearly life long employee of Disney), he contributed a wealth of accomplishments to making Disney the global brand that it is today. Some of those accomplishments include the opening of Epcot, the founding of Tokyo Disneyland, and the launch of Walt Disney Home Video, Touchstone Pictures, and The Disney Channel.
Let’s take a moment to think a good thought for his family and the numerous people that Ron and his wife Diane touched through their work and their generous donations.
